From The desk
AN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS AND INVESTIGATION SHOW
During the fall semester of my senior year, a colleague and I began to brainstorm for a weekly entertainment show for NCHSLive! We felt that our show should charismatically and humorously address popular topics for those in our district. The result of our brainstorm was From The Desk! Starting in mid-January, our goal has been to post weekly editions of our show, each one both captivating and informative. Below are the first editions of our show.
Episode 1: The north Central Credit Union
Although widely unknown, the abandoned building that adorns the Northwest side of our school's campus has a rich history of district ties. Originally, the building served as the administration center for all of our district. Over time, the building was transformed into a Credit Union for teachers and district staff to collect paychecks and do their banking. The bank, although useful, was closed over a decade ago because of costly renovation estimates. This episode of FROM THE DESK offers a unique inside look at a building that often seems elusive and irrelevant to the daily lives of students.
Episode 2: Wisdom Teeth
The details of wisdom teeth surgery, while relatively straightforward as a dental procedure, are often a source of worry for adolescents. In this edition of FROM THE DESK, we explore what is like to have your wisdom teeth removed, the details of the surgery, and what methods are best for post-surgery tranquility.
